Lovely Vintage 5 Branch/Arm MENORAH Candlestick Holder
SOLID BRASS
Shabbat
HEAVY 28.8 ounces
Graduated Height Arms, Tallest Is In Center
BEAUTIFUL Stamped Embossed Horizontal Banding To Tips Of Each Arm And On Candle Holders Themselves
Marked [stamped] into the brass with the number '2' in four places on the body and once with the number '2' on underside of base. Stamped CHINA in small letters on underside of base.
Size Approx. 10 3/8" Tall at center point, end pieces are 7.25" Tall.
Base is just a hair over 4" across.
Excellent Vintage Condition=
no dings bent areas scratches or tarnishing/turning of brass. In gorgeous vintage condition with gentle and normal signs of use and a FABULOUS mellow patina. The piece can of course be polished with brass polish but in my opinion that would wipe out all of it's vintage beauty and charm. This piece is not meant to be mirror finish shiny and has a matte finish to brass.
Great for a collector- will look beautiful in use or on display.
Takes regular taper candles, not included.
The 5 branch menorah is the least common type to find- my understanding is that it typically is used at the Cantor's stand in synagogue and candles in it are lit for a memorial service, in honor of the memory of the deceased
