The Space Shuttle was the first reusable spaceship in the world. A total of 6 Space Shuttles were built: Enterprise, Columbia, Challenger, Discovery, Atlantis, and Endeavour.

About 1'' triangle swatch of insulation material mounted on a 8x10 presentation with COA on the backside.
    Space Shuttle Atlantis (OV-104)
was NASA's fourth space-rated space shuttle, named after a two-masted boat, active from1930 to 1966.
Construction of Atlantis began in March 1980. When finished, Atlantis was nearly 3.5 tons lighter than the first space-rated Shuttle Columbia and arrived at Kennedy Space Center on April 9, 1985. On Oct. 3, 1985, Atlantis launched on her first space flight, STS 51-J. During mission STS-71, Atlantis made the first Shuttle-Mir docking. Atlantis retired in 2011 and marked the ending of the Shuttle program (STS-135). The orbiter is now on exhibit at KSC Visitor Complex.
The source of this piece of the blanket is a scrapped part of the Shuttle by NASA.
