    I have saved tons of Jaguar parts for 40 years and have boxes and boxes of used camshafts, including rare early ones, and both 2 hole pre emission, and 4 hole Jaguar emission. THIS ia a C.4488, which my factory parts book for 2.4 saloon (Mark I) lists as an inlet cam. I do not know if it fits 2.4 Mark 2. The number as shown is stamped into the cam across from the raised casting number, which is Not the part number.
