Description
Description:This is a very fine and historic piece of Judaica and would make an amazing gift, especially a wedding gift.
This old, brass piece is a Chanukah menorah with 7 candle cups, a scroll design and a decorated band.
The menorah is from Poland and dates from around 1890.
The 23” tall menorah has a main brass piece in the center by which the 3 main arms and center are attached. Each piece also can be taken off the main arms.
23” tall. The base is 6.25” in diameter while the widest section is 17.25” wide.
The candle arms can line up or be rotated to make a more standard candelabra.
To make shipping less costly, I will likely break down the piece into smaller components that can just be re-screwed easily back together.
A nearly identical piece with 9 arms sold for 00 at the Lower East Side Restoration Project.
Condition
:
No breaks or repairs.
All pieces come off and on easily.
I have not dared polish the brass as the patina adds to the beauty. Please note there are some darker patina marks on the base.
Please review the pictures closely as they are part of the description.
