  • Condition: This recent find comes from Estate of Retired NASA MSFC AEROSPACE Engineer that was part of Wernher von Braun's Pioneer Rocket Team and later worked on the Shuttle's SSME starting in 1968 designing its Engines. Reports are in Very Good overall condition for use and age with some expected aging and storage wear.     Description

    This recent find comes from Estate of Retired NASA MSFC Aerospace Engineer that was part of ABMA and NASA working with Wernher von Braun on the pioneering Rocket Team.  Mr. Thomson was ultimately responsible for the development of the H1, J2 and F1 Rocket Engines and eventually put in charge of the Shuttle "SSME" development in 1968. Lastly from 1971-86 he served as Chief Engineer for the Space Shuttle Main Engine and later was referred to as the "FATHER" of ALS systems and engines.
