Description
This recent find comes from Estate of Retired NASA MSFC Aerospace Engineer that was part of ABMA and NASA working with Wernher von Braun on the pioneering Rocket Team. Mr. Thomson was ultimately responsible for the development of the H1, J2 and F1 Rocket Engines and eventually put in charge of the Shuttle "SSME" development in 1968, Lastly from 1971-86 he served as Chief Engineer for the Space Shuttle Main Engine the RS-25. This listing is for a Set of 2 Space Shuttle Pocket Data Booklets from Rocketdyne and Morton Thiokol - See below.(1) A 198page February 1985 Rockwell International ROCKETDYNE "SPACE SHUTTLE MAIN ENGINE" (SSME) Pocket Data book - (Extremely in depth) with Missions STS-1 thru STS-20 listed in back of Book - 5" x 3.25"
(1) A 27page January 1984 MORTON THIOKOL "SPACE SHUTTLE PAYLOAD and CREW FLIGHT ASSIGNMENTS" Schedule Pocket Data book - (Data starts back at STS-1 and ends with the January 28 1986 Mission) Which turned out to be the Challenger Disaster launch, Listed in book as Columbia Crew 61-D Spacelab (4) Mission (Crew listed is different than the STS-51L Challenger Crew) - 4.25" x 3".
