Condition: This recent find comes from Estate of Retired NASA MSFC AEROSPACE Engineer that was part of Wernher von Brauns Pioneer Rocket Team designing and testing the F1/H1/J2 Engines. He later worked on the Shuttle's SSME starting in 1968 designing its Engines and was named Chief Engineer in 1971. Listing is for set of his (couple of family member guest) NASA STS mission badges from various launches, honoree receptions and programs plus SSME launch data book and Communications Guide Card. All are in Excellent condition for use/age and storage with the communications card being in Good condition (back side lamination is missing and has a curve to the card). Please see all Pictures...

This recent find comes from Estate of Retired NASA MSFC Aerospace Engineer that was part of ABMA and NASA working with Wernher von Braun on the pioneering Rocket Team. Mr. Thomson was ultimately responsible for the development of the H1, J2 and F1 Rocket Engines and eventually put in charge of the Shuttle "SSME" development in 1968, Lastly from 1971-86 he served as Chief Engineer for the Space Shuttle Main Engine the RS-25. He later joined Aerojet as a Chief Scientist for advanced propulsion and worked directly with Russia after the East Berlin Wall fell mainly "AMERICANIZING" the NK-33. This listing is for a set of his personal/family member badges, books, tickets, communication guide card all relating to various STS mission launches (including one Firing Room badge), receptions and programs.
