    Description

Well here is something you don't see everyday! I am selling a 1970 Honda CL450K3 Scrambler with 6000 original miles. Bike was pulled out of a pole barn after sitting for 39 years. The bike is mostly all original except for a light restore. The bike starts easily and idles at about 1100 rpm. Both Kick start and electric start work fine. I installed new Gel battery, new Honda petcock, new fork gators, new front and rear knobby tires. The bike runs great but could use a valve adjustment by someone who knows how to work on these old Honda's(no one in this town will touch it). I had the carbs completely rebuilt by Bruno's Motorbikes in Blaine MN,which included all new floats, needle valves,o-rings and gaskets. Prior owner had the tank professionally cleaned and sealed(not a cheap cream job that comes apart after a while). When I first rode the bike it did not want to go into different gears, but after patiently shifting up and down many times riding it,the parts came unstuck and now she shifts decent, but still has to be babied into gear(the more it is ridden the better she will shift) You have to understand that this bike sat for 39 years and parts need to be loosened up and lubricated before they just fall into place. The clutch also did not function correctly until I rode it a bit and then she started working great. All lights work except turn signals(neither front or rear light up and blink). I know nothing about electrical so I did not want to try and fix it and end up making the wiring worse. The chrome is in good condition but there is some rust spots on the rims where chrome has chipped away. The exhaust system is in excellent condition and has not been modified or changed in any way. The paint has some patina and there is a knee dent in the right side of tank(Might come out with air pressure because it is not creased)just pushed in a bit. The seat is all original and in fine condition. All in all the bike is very presentable and turns many heads. The 450cc version was less common than the 350cc version. I don't have a manual or a tool kit for it but I do have a clear Florida title in my name. I can deliver for free within 50 miles of Panama City Florida.
